Everything I love is alive. The sea, the forest, the people, the small ordinary mornings — all of it is alive, and all of it can be lost.

I grew up close to the sea, the forest and a family life shaped by environmental responsibility. Nature was never a theme. It was part of the world we belonged to.

After my father died, responsibility did not become clearer. It became unavoidable.

When you love something and see it under threat, you cannot only watch. So I build — culture, understanding and practical pathways that help people see what is at stake, see what actually helps, and take part.

Not a human society standing outside nature, but one that learns to strengthen the living systems it depends on. That is the work this essay opens into.

When you love something and see it under threat, you cannot only watch.

This essay is the personal origin of a larger body of work.
